Good to have you along. Wicked to see it getting some track time too - where is that, Ruapuna?

Those photos are from Taupo. I have done 3 track days there in my car, 4th coming up soon. I have only driven Taupo but am hoping to get to a Hampton downs day. Have a few niggly issues i need to sort out first.

Just acquired a set of semi slicks and am looking for a bucket seat which i hope will both help me break 2 mins at Taupo. A friend who is far for experienced that me managed a 2:01 in my car on nasty cheap ATR sports that melted in the heat, so i'm hopeful!

They are such fun cars and superb to drive on the track. So much fun for so little money down. I get a bit of grief from the guys for driving a french car, but then they see how i drive on the track and they soon shut up :P I'm usually the only female on the track too, though occasionally not.

Welcome. Nice car, that exhaust looks like it could be fairly noisy.

Nah that exhaust has a silencer in it so it's pretty boring.
Track days are best days. Counting down till my next one in October. Looking at a GTi 180 on the weekend i'm considering. Mine is just a 138.

More pictures from last track day, because why not ;)

Good show m'lady! I didn't recognise the first couple of shots despite having done a few laps there myself. I'm hoping to get along to a few more meets/races at Taupo - I find that it's a track well suited to nimble Pugs (when they're not broken down down in my case!). Where are you based btw?
Just sold a 180 not long ago, would have been set up nicely and quick on track, but was just one car too many at my place!

I'm living in Auckland. Thankfully my Pug has proven to be very reliable on the track with little to no issues (all the electrics work!). Few things which are just general wear and tear, though i'm pretty pedantic with my maintenance.

I attend private track days organised by GP forums. It's a nice little community we have going and its a lot less intimidating than open play days etc.

I went and looked at a 180 tonight. Had 2 passengers in at so couldn't get a sense of power. Guy also didn't want me to turn traction control off. Clutch didn't feel as springy as the one on my 138. I made an offer a little below asking based on the average condition of exterior and the fact it had no service history. Big risk for me. No record of cam belt being changed and at 130,000 km big risk for me. Guy was unwilling to budge on price so I walked away
