Hi this is my new 205 1.9 GTI which i purchased in Auckland and spent a fantastic weekend driving back home to Christchurch!
The car is fairly standard (JAP import) 1989 and fairly tidy all working but i few things I would like to do to make it better.
This is my 3rd 205 GTI having owned an 88 1.6 (which i blow the engine up) and a 1.9 88 back in the early 90's when i lived in the UK. Both were fantastic so now i  am re=living part of that youth haha.
Anyway i'm no expert but willing to help if i can and i have no idea where to buy spares/ servicing etc... anywhere in the south island so any advice would be most welcome! Cheers

Welcome to another South Island 205er

Depends what you mean by parts ? Standard parts ( Brakes, Steering parts etc ) can be got easily enough at Repco or BNT

Engine Overhaul parts from EML in Auckland - great guys to deal with

Welcome along!  Nothing like a roadie to discover how cool your new car is...  ::)

If you are looking for an indie garage that will give your car the service it deserves, I recommend Iain at Mecano Automotive (just off Blenheim Road near the Sockburn roundabout).  They pretty much exclusively do Citroen and Peugeot work, and can get pretty much any parts you'll ever need.
