Previous owner of my old 106 Rallye bought a mk5 golf, but told me many times that he wished he hasn't sold me the 106... Insert r32 and 205 here and I think the same would apply.

I just got myself a Liquid Gold Megane R26, its no Golf GTi, but its a lot of fun.

After owing a few Megane RS's over the years, I can say they are a fun car, maybe worth a test drive after a Golf GTi, there are a few RS225's available at the moment.

A nice video, I have owned the Astra and the Megane, only driven a few Golfs, the Golfs were nice, possibly a good allrounder, easier to get cheap parts for (and you will need lots of parts).

Nice, yeah love the look of the current Meganes, bold hot hatch looks, performance and killer black alloys to boot. Wasn't a fan back in the day of the older shape circa 2004.

There's a young blonde thing in my apartment complex with a white rs265...
Not judging but everytime I see it I'm like, that's too much car for you lol

Tbh never thought I'd see the day where convention and reliability are serious considerations for my next car. Then again my dad only ever bought Toyotas which are reliablilty with a capital R.

To me the golf strikes that perfect balance of german precision engineering, reliability (not dsg lol) and fun factor.

Know reliability will be compromised with an older french car but the 205 just has that something.

My patience has paid off... now a proud owner of a 205 mi16.

She is a beast, and have lost sleep every night driving for hours after work attacking
my favourite roads.

Popped in to Greg Kents yesterday for a check up. They'd built the car and were happy to
see her again... they actually heard it a week before I brought it in, me blattng along Diana Dve on my way to work lol
