Maybe it was the search string i used on DuckDuckGo the day i signed for a brandspanker new Clio R.S. Premium. I discovered OzRenault so i'm sorry i have spent a few hours over 'there'.

Yes, i have owned a few weird and wonderful cars but this will be my 1st Froggy. Probably the maddest car was a 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale. It sure could fly simply because it was effectively a result of homolagation to WRC back in the day and manufacturers were now forced to enter vehicles they actually sold to the public. Lancia simply bent that thinking; took their smallest hatchback, widened its wheelarches, loaded the biggest engine they had, turbo'd it plus an intercooler and made it full time 4WD with a special new gearbox (and sold them to the public) then went and cleaned up WRC for 6 consecutive years.

That little car's nasty acceleration was fantastic and that's where back in 2009 i test drove a new VE Holden Commodore SSV  6Litre V8 ute which could give a brutal acceleration as well if you let it and i was sold, so an 'Aussy sports car' was added to my collection (after the Lancia found a new home).

Time passed and it was more than obvious i needed a comfy commuter over the yuck olde diesel Toymota... Another import was where i started but what i found was always silver, expensive for second hand, ponged of stale ciggies and often soooo ugly to the eye... A car needs to LOOK good or i'd just know i'd feel deflated eyeballing it everyday. That's why even a Toymota Blade V6 wasn't a possible.

It began with a Fiat Punto but it was really a shopping basket. Then off to Citroen (i liked the style of the DS Sport), but nope the really hi perf version wasn't coming here, so it was a look at the Pug 208GTI but oops it was awkward ever putting passengers into the rear. Then someone said look at Renault.

I'd never been at a Renault dealers ever.. and i admit it was pleasant indeed.... The Megane was perfect to my eye but impractical.  The result though was OUT of a V8 Holden (you can imagine what died in the wool Holden fans think of me now) into a wee 4cyl sports that ticks all my needs and i simply wasn't aware it existed....

It arrives after December 5 2014 and its being a hard wait process....
