Gidday Folks
« on: January 28, 2009, 11:31:51 AM »
Hello everyone,

My name is Daniel and I'm trying to find a decent 205 GTi for sale, and get some advice in general on the little beasts. I will be a first time Peugeot owner (fingers crossed).

Let me know of any common issues or decent 205's for sale you know of! I'm in Christchurch but am willing to travel to get one.

Cheers folks

Ahoy there Dan!

I wouldn't worry about travelling too far, I think you'll find that most of the 205's are already in Christchurch :D

Welcome
Take it to Bishops

Thanks mate,

I sure hope so! There's a fairly tidy looking one on Trademe in Cambridge up north, but obviously it would cost a few hundred extra just to get it home.

haha, have a crack at that one down in wanaka...........might be goin cheap. I'm in Chch as well, onto my third 80's vintage pug. Originally had a 309GTi, then another 309 for parts and finally a 205GTi after my 309 got written off by a careless driver (read retarded).

Hey mrc_1979,

I gave that one some thought, but I'm not sure I'm up for something that needs alot of work. Mind you it is very cheap at the moment. Worth keeping an eye on I suppose.

Sorry to hear about your loss! I'm sure the 205 keeps you company on those lonely nights

Time to reintroduce myself I reckon, after a 3 year absence.

I had a 205 GTi for a few years and absolutely loved it. Gave in to the boss at the time and moved to boring cars. I currently own a life-sapping purple Japanese station wagon.

Not for long though all going to plan. She of the boring car preferences is no longer on the scene, and I stand to make a little collect off a house sale. Time to get back on the fastfrog horse methinks.

Got my heart set on a 106 rallye at the moment.

Also, I found these little guys in the old toy chest at my folks place this week. I was always destined to own a Peugeot.

Cheers lads,
