My Golf GTI is for sale - thought I'd mention it, as wanting to replace with something like a Clio RS.

Its not on TradeMe. This is a low key trade. There are lots of pics and a build thread on the VASK link.


It is a 2L 8v GTI with a polished/ported/big valve head built by Lynn Rogers. Car has the same or more power then a 1.8 16v but within a much more usable power band.

This could be coming up for sale between now and the end of the year. 160,000kms - full service history. Since this pic, has been lowered slightly on Eibach Sportline Springs - drives so much better, and solid engine mounts gone in also with Powerflex bushes.

Not many 182's in the country.

What could I expect to get for it ?

Bit of wear and tear but generally in good cond.

There's one with 39000kms for sale at 17k which is a bit high, I think realistically you're looking in the 11k-12k bracket with those kays etc. If you find the right buyer higher of course.
You could search all your life for who you are, or you could accept the simple truth:You are what you drive - said by Porsche, but I'd rather be a Renaultsport...

Nice Golf GTI, i almost bought it a while ago then got my 206 GTI 180 instead, for $1000 more than what the guy wanted for the golf.
