Beedee

Hi

I've got a 1989 205 GTI 1.9, series one, black, 109,000 miles
It was imported from the UK in 1996 (G reg)
I've had it for about 9 years
No aircon, no power steering

Stuff done:
- Rear suspension rebuild incl second hand cross tube and a full rebuild kit from Autofive (good to deal with)
- K&N filter
- New drop links
- Repaint about 6 years ago
- New rear box
- New discs and pads

To do:
- Replace center resonator - tooo loud on the open road
- Sort out rich mixture at idle and thru rev range (AFR = 11.2)

Great car to drive in the weekend.
The wife hates driving it which is just fine by me

Tried to add a pic but the link to the photobucket was not working.

Absolutely zeph! Everyone needs to go to the Christchurch Events thread in the Events section and help figure out a date!

Welcome Beedee, good to have another Christchurch member, sounds like you know your stuff (I certainly don't!). Your number plate looks to be SX, which sounds a little like sex, which 205's are almost as good as!  ;)

Hi Weezernz

The plate starts with SK. I suppose that stands for 'sick'
Apparently in yoof culture that means good (I wouldn't know being an old geezer).

Took the pug to watch a stage of the Canterbury rally on the weekend.
Had to drive thru 2 fords (great cars too) to get there. When I got back to the car it had 1/2 an inch of snow on the roof. The pug handled it no problem.
Fuel tank and sump are still intact.
