Title: Newbie
Post by: Redfrog on April 27, 2015, 10:57:06 PM
Hi there, bought a cheap 205 CTi for my daughter in December, previous owner wasn't exactly honest with me and the engine lasted 4 days before the problems started.
I currently have it in pieces in the garage having already thrown more money at than I paid for it !
I am going to need some support at some stage,I can handle the nuts and bolts but this engine is the most complicated piece of engineering I have ever come across in a small car, there are so many sensors and the plumbing is mind blowing.
The car hasn't had much love, but I have committed to resurrecting it as my daughter thinks it's a cool car and got hooked on it in the four days she drove it.
It's a red 1.9 auto CTi with power steering.
I have had the head checked and levelled and am about to start the reassembly .....wish me luck !

They're not too bad once you've done a few - post up any questions here and we'll do our best to help out!

Hopefully you took some pics as you pulled it apart and at least have a Haynes manual..?

North shore AK,have a a Haynes manual ( which seems to cover a multitude of engines, most confusing )
Did take a few pictures though as I pulled it apart.
