Hi All,
I am new to fastfrogs, but old to pugs, and well, old anyway. Past rides include 306, 309, 205CTI 1.9, 405Mi16 x 3, 504, 406, 407, and now a couple of 206 S16s.
I have just taken possession of my second 206S16, non-runner. Previous owner said they lost the immobiliser chip from inside the key, and then couldn't start the car. Got a new key from local dealer, and apparently had the car programmed to suit the new key, but it still won't go.
I am thinking about buying some software eg PP2000 to interrogate the BSI, and maybe program the BSI to suit the new key. Any recommendations on what software to buy, what to avoid, where to purchase? Or better still, anybody local to Invercargill that may be able to help?
If I dont get the car started, I will dismantle for parts for the other car, which is in Auckland.
Welcome to FF!
You could try send 'Don Simon' on here a PM as he seems to get French ones and zeros...
Thanks,
i have a local guy coming on friday to try sort it out, but if he can't make it go, I will try Simon.
I got the car started, pulled the ECU apart, had totally fried inside. Sourced new s/h ecu and bcm from UK. In the meantime, I've also bought and in the process of dismantling a 206CC, 2 litre manual. So if anyone needs parts I'm keen to get rid of some cheap. And cos I'm a pug nutter, have added a 307 HDi into the fleet.
Another one for team HDi? 8) The subversive underbelly of Fast Frogs is alive and well.
Which front brakes does the 206cc have?
