My names Scott, based in Hawkes bay.
Ive been into pugs for a while now, dont currently own one but in the near future should be looking out for a tidy 306 manual 3dr.
Im a qualified Mechanic of 10 years, still in the trade and have always had a soft spot for pugs, particularly older ones like 205/309/306, hence why im here now. Plenty of experience working on them as I did my apprenticeship on them!

Yeah Benny, preferably a gti6. Wouldnt be opposed to an XU10J2 powered XSi either, but chances are Id just end up regretting not going the whole hog and getting the GTi6. Time will tell whats out there when I start seriously looking to buy.

have you ever worked on the TU engine in the 106's?
I'm afraid to take my 106 into the workshops here in Welly because there are no good pug mechanics that know pre 2000 models espec 106's
Havent had much to do with any twin cam XSi 106's, as theyre a bit rarer round here, but have done a few head gaskets/cambelts etc on the pre 2000 106 TU3 carb'd engines and plenty of work on TU5JP4 206s
just need to get my post count up
