I own a dark grey 1989 1.9 205 gti as well as a '89 405 mi16 (dereg, yes another mi16 is chopped, although it was an unsavable accident casualty ;)).
Im in the process of fully rebuilding the xu9j4 before swapping into the 205. Should make serious progress on this over the summer as uni has a habit of draining my time and money during the year.
Going to plan, ill be taking it to a few track days at Ruapuna sometime next year.
Always interested to read about similar projects going on and especially locating parts in this area of the world.
