Title: Newbie 205 GTi 1.9
Post by: SimJen on October 16, 2007, 09:03:00 AM
Just got me a 205 GTi, well actually just paid for it and will hopefully have it delivered later this week as its 400km's away.
Sounds like a tidy car 1989 in Gunmetal with 127,000km owned by an older gent for the last 10 years who's kept it stock and in good condition.  I'm hoping to restore it back to mint!
I'd love to find a workshop manual to download?

Bit about me:
33YO guy, married, 2 kids, done my share of racing cars/bikes, mainly ride a GSX-R1000 K5 and do lots of trackdays on it these days. Into bikes in a big way but also have a soft spot for 205 GTi's since I was young.  Growing up in the UK I saw heaps of them in various states of tune, always wanted one, and now I do! :)

Yeah sweet as, I live out in the sticks where theres some wicked driving roads, ideally suited to GTi's :)

Yeah I might well do, I've got a track day on the 28th, but will be using my bike.....a lot more suited to the track, especially Track 1 at Taupo, usually see 280ish on the main straight ;)
