Gidday Dan, Welcome etc
Where are you based?
Despite the amount of useless stuff we talk, there are some gems of information.
Hopefully you can gain something from this site. hah
Hi Dan
Usually if you own 1 peugeot, you've owned several or you are on your way to own many in the future. It happened to me at least.
So you still have a red 1.6? Mean. There's a profound lack of one-sixes on here, after the only one was written off a couple of months ago here: http://www.fastfrogs.co.nz/index.php/topic,815.0.html (http://www.fastfrogs.co.nz/index.php/topic,815.0.html)
Bit of a shame really but he replaced it with this:

Hello there
This place is always fun - full of knowledge, bad spelling (some unintentional and most intentional) and a bunch of real GC's.
Come along to events and have an ale or 6 - I'm old as the pyramids of Giza and enjoy the comradery and banter on the forum and in real life.. (although IRL is kinda scary.. LOL)
:'( Just had a bit of a cry, cheers for bringing up that thread Joel :-\ :-[
Nice to meet ya Dan, interested to know what you think of the 1.6 over the 1.9, what do you like better?? I found the 1.6 alot more revvy, with a good amount of up and go if you drive it right, sorta similair to a Toyota 4AGE, but the 1.9 is definately alot quicker throughout the total rev range IMO

hey there, well the 1.9 i owned was a japper. still went pretty hard.
i do enjoy the 1.6 especially through the back twisty roads of rotorua.
i have the xu5ja so she still pulls pretty well and the closer gear ratios make for fun times..likes to be around 4000 -5000 rpm
she lacks a bit of top end but im sure this can be sorted

wow nice job on the engine, would like to something similar,so ima start saving.
yeah i dont know if i will any other car at this stage i had a mazda station wagon for a while and it never missed a beat , but i have peugeots in the blood. i learned to drive in my old mans 504 and 505 sti.. when i was a kid we had a 404 and owned at least three 504s.
there is still a 505 gti on his front lawn waiting for me to throw lots of money at it hehe.. i think we even had a 405 sr that got pinched. so yeah im sure i will own many more puggys in the future.
im based in rotorua but am moving to auckland for 4 months in may to study film and tv production..but might be back in roto in june for the targa..there was a mint 205 there last year but i didnt get to see it race.
EDIT: Is that better?
oh i see what i did there lol
