Title: I think I have a valid excuse....
Post by: pugger on October 20, 2015, 10:42:35 AM
Hi,

I have owned an unspecified number of Peugeots since I got my first one last millenium, and a few other odd frogs along the way.
I think the little table below gives an idea of the range...
10-(4/6)
20-(3/5)
30-(5/6/9)
40-(3/4/5/6/7)
50-(4/5)
60-(4/5)

A long time back I heard that someone was questioned by a visitor as to why they had so many Peugeots. They responded with a straight face that they had been dropped on their head as a baby.

My excuse is that it is hereditary - my first Peuget (a 504) was purchased new by my grandfather, sold to my father and then passed on to me. My kids have no hope....

Current daily drivers 306 HDi dTurbo and 505 GTi Auto Familiale wagon.

For a number of years I had a full set of the -05s .

Peugeot didn't make me a 105 car, a Type 105 Peugeot is a tad pricey although highly desirable, and a Peugeot 105 scooter doesn't match the rest of the set, so I  had to make do with averaging a Peugeot 104 and a Peugeot 106.
205 CJ
305 sedan (deregistered, but did make it to a Motat French car show many years ago)
405 various sedans and wagons
505 various sedans and wagons
605 SV & SVe

Currently I am redistributing members of that set.
The 605s have gone, mostly, but some parts are still lurking as they do.
The 205 CJ was sold last weekend, but there is still an old 205 parts car hiding down the back
The 106 got wrapped in orange vinyl and was sold, the 104 is hiding in a shed somewhere (and again there is a parts car lurking)
The 305 is next on the block - anyone fancy doing this to it? http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/GroupB/Virtually%20Modified/Pug305proto.jpg (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/GroupB/Virtually%20Modified/Pug305proto.jpg)
The 405 GLD wagon is being loaned to a relative.
The 505s we keep

Haha - welcome along!  I never had a chance either, as there is every possibility I was conceived in a DS of some kind, and my dad hasn't been without a Citroen (or several) since 1962!

What happened to the 604?

Mostly the 604s are RIP (rusted into pieces), so no longer entire.
But somewhere in the wider family there still lurks a GTi (2849cc K-Jetronic version).
Mine was a 81 STi.
