My name is Darren, and im a carnut, thats just had the joy of first time ownership of a french hothatch......a 96 306 s16-red, full leather, and 100% stock standard, This car handles winding roads as good if not better than my other ride...an escort rs turbo.......yes I have a thing for hothatchs, and im not racial about it either lol, just love good engineered useable lil rockets. So hello to all, and I look forward to learning, and sharing, and enjoying everything thats fast n french.
Hi Darren,
Welcome along! Good to see you joined up, was that g/box oil the right thing for the 306? Jeff
Is that a Phase 1 S16 (5-speed) or a Phase 2 S16 (6-speed) ? :) Either are lovely!
Welcome to Fast Frogs, well done with the purchase.
If you like things that are beautifully engineered why did you buy a Ford? Is it a Cosworth or the early 80's jobbie, there is a guy asking way too much for one on TM at the moment.

Mate dont do it again spec. 205s are the breast cars ever
I guess the 'jist' of what I meant was that hot hatches are where it's at, and probably where it will ever be
Yep. Can't beat a hot hatch for an all rounder. I have had tons of them now and every time I change to a sedan I end up back with a hot hatch.
Fast
Practical
Fun
Un-Pretentious
Cheap
Biased on run of the mill cars so most parts are cheap.
Il get a couple pics up of both bad boys in a couple days.
Yeah hot hatchs are where its at, usually nice n light, with a good splash of pepper
