Been speaking to Greg Kent and he is keen of having a kinda open day, meet greet, bbq, beers and a bit of a swap meet car show. We are planning to have it on Sunday May 15th at his place - 80 Diana Drive, Glenfield.
The night before too we should have a few beers somewhere also.
So bring your stock/shite you dont need plus beeers and snarlers and obviously your fast and get rid of or gain some stock :)
^good fucking idea. This shiz needs to happen more. Should have one at my dads lol.

Does anyone have a place I can park a car from the Saturday afternoon till Monday morning that is near the bus route to Queen St?

That is a very specific yet vague question. The AKL public transport website is http://www.maxx.co.nz/ (http://www.maxx.co.nz/). If you are just after random free street parking near town where you car wont get stolen the closest would be somewhere like Mountain Road over the back of Newmarket or on the West side of Ponsonby Road which is getting towards beardy joel's?

Can park at my work in Kingsland if you like. Is right by the train station to britomart.
Pagey I don't know Auckland that well sorry - need somewhere that the car is out of harms way - preferably a driveway/front lawn. I'm staying at the top end of Queen St, half way between K Rd and the Powerstation.. edit -actually on Galatos St it is
Dangermouse that sounds a fairly good option. I will check location of Kingsland on goodle maps now
Galatos St is certainly NOT out of harms way!
I will come along, gotta represent the Clio massive!
Dont have anything to sell as yet but maybe there are a few bargains for me to take home.

my street is just behind the warehouse in newmarket it's pretty safe.
kk you could park at skycity. Thats safe and maybe free if you rent a room?
welcome to park at my house. Safe as nobody knows my house exists, its secret as. At the end of dominion rd. Bus comes every half hour to town. Takes about 15-30mins to get to K-rd depending on traffic etc

Does anyone need a bed or car or something?
all best baszwadls;fgnsf;gm
I are be excite!
Don't think I actually have anything to swap though apart from maybe a 405 A/C system ::)
men.
You'll prob find someone who wants it.
Is anyone from welly definitely going to this? It'll be at at least $300 for me to fly up so would prefer to cruise up with someone and split fuel.
I am but I'm travelling up earlier in the week
When?
So what's the general swap-meet etiquette, and what time is it? I have a lot of parts I need to find homes for before August, and I'm keen to see them go to people who'll use/appreciate them. I suspect that I may also need a van or large wagon to bring them.
Looks like I won't make it :'( Can't afford to head up on my own and haven't been able to arrange to go up with anyone.
Victor and I are keen to come along to this and bring the pug. Is it confirmed and what time?
Its all confirmed and shiz some up to greg kents on sunday - check link on news thread http://www.fastfrogs.co.nz/index.php/topic,6409.0.html (http://www.fastfrogs.co.nz/index.php/topic,6409.0.html)
Not going to be able to make it- I was hoping to drive up but work has decided to fly me up, & back on Fri. :( If there's stuff going for my dizzle that no1 already has, plz consider grabbing for me. I'll hopefully drive up sometime within a month to be able to collect.
Simo, If you could get me that alternator somehow Wed-Fri would be mint. I won't have a car and will be way out West at Whenuapai though...
Werd
I'm most prob going to park my car somewhere a miryion miles away from where I'm staying on Galatos St.
A: - Best place to park safely, cheaply and not an asshole to get to while still being a short ride on public transport from the top of Queen St
B: - Anyone keen to pick me and Sherie up from town about midday and take us to swap meat and then back again - handjobs/beer/beerjobs will be supplied.
Sorry - I hate having a car in Auckland and having to park it/drive it..
feel free to park on my lawn if you want. At end of dominion rd. Bus comes er half hour and goes to symonds st/k'rd which is 5 mins walk from top of queen st/i can chauffeur
not as close to town as maybe other parking spots but ya car will be safe as can be, due to non visible from road and super scary guard dog
edit:
i maybe keen to goto greg kernt. Keen to try find a 205/309 to spend my lawnmower prfits on. I went to school with a guy who works there. Hes got a nice 309
So what time are we supposed to start arriving? I see the date but no specific time.

So, 80 Diana Drive, 0930 hours? See you guys there. (Shit! Means I need to ACTUALLY wash my car or you guys will frown upon me. I still stand by "a dirty car being a real mans car") :P
Option!
Head to auck on friday at 7:50pm and get to auck at 6:50am
Leave on sunday at 7:50pm - get to welly at 6:50 am and go straight to work
overlander?
Wrong times.
With the bus I don't have to take any time off work
yeah but you have to go on a bus.
drive up you pansy.
Too much mooooonies. Cost of driving there and back = another supercharger for the trump.
Unfortunately I just don't think i'm going to make it :'(
The cost of going in a bus would be about $100, accom and food etc would be another $100 - driving is maybe another $100.. Just do it.
it is geting expensive aye. between 70 and 200 litres depending on your vehicle and gas costs $2.20 :-\. I used to dirve this like 2-3 times return a year. cant afford now
just catch a plane. I flew to wellington the other week for $70 have done in the past for $49
Got a housemate moving in this weekend now and some things to sort on the cit.
Will try and swing a visit when I have a decent amount of time off.
