Hi, I am a new member with a 1989 205 GTI 1.9 that I have just acquired.

As usual there are a few things that don't work properly.  The tacho keeps blowing its fuse and stopping working - any thoughts? and the gear lever is very sloppy.  I think that you can improve this with bushes, though it seems that they were like this all the way through.  The driver's window doesn't want to go up as fast as it goes down and you have to help it over the last inch or so.  Can anyone point me in the direction of a rear fog lamp and washer jet?  Cheers.

Hello and welcome along
I might be able to help with some products for the sloppy gear lever (bronze gear stick pivot bushes)
Cheers Cam  :)

Also i would highly advise going for a full set of alloy gear linkages as the factory ones have plastic cups in them that totally fall apart and are no good. here is what you want and CAMS16V is the NZ agent for baker BM stuff

Note the majority of the play will be fixed with the rod kit
