Hey everyone,  I'm Chris and the proud owner of a 106 gti.

Following on from my previous thread, I finally managed to find one at the price and condition I was happy with.

First time I drove this car, I fell in love with it straight away. The handling really is as good people say.

Totally standard (which I like), excellent service history and relatively low mileage for its age, 124000 kms.

The car is extremely good condition for its age and runs very smooth; you can tell it's been looked after.

There isn't a whole lot I want to do to it. Some OEM badges are on the list and perhaps lower it slightly.

Here are some pics after I gave it a wash, clay bar and wax.

You're gonna have so much fun in that!  8)

Do you mean OEM badges for the tailgate? Personally I like the clean look...

Yeah I've not given her a good blast yet but they are certainly nippy for what they are and nimble around the corners.  :D

I want to put the original Peugeot badge on the boot lock, not sure about the 'peugeot' and '106' badges on the actual tailgate. I also want to put the original badge on the front to break it up a bit. It's been sprayed black and everything is a little too 'black' for me.

I'm also considering getting the alloys resprayed silver or anthracite when I eventually lower it slightly.

I would love a few mods to open her up (induction kit, pugsport decat system, 4-2-1), however it's going to cost a fortune to import these.

I'm hoping I can eventually source something here in NZ.
