I have just bought a 1988 Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 for my first car! Looking for parts, does anyone have any interior trim such as rear boot-lid interior trim, glove box and centre console piece? Also is there anything should I know about these cars?
Cheers

Hello and welcome! Congrats on your purchase. Good to see that the comment was noted  8)
Unfortunately interior trim is something that deteriorates in many 205's, especially in NZ with our high UV. Cam is currently parting out a car that may have those bits though...

205's are fun to drive - make sure that your tyres are good, and drive through corners with some throttle until you get used to the lift-off oversteer tendencies (if you're not sure of what I'm talking about I'd suggest you consult google/YouTube). Take some time on a quiet corner with good run off and sight lines to find out what it's like for yourself - forewarned is forearmed!

Bold call! Have 3x boot trim in AKL. No dash bits, ebay.uk and classicpeugeotspares.co.uk are your friends...

Keep an eye on the cooling system they have a knack of cooking themselves fairly easily.

It's embarrassing when the handbrake cable snaps mid-turn.

Or if you're driving a BX and forgot that your handbrake works on the front wheels...

Speaking of snapping. Handbrake turns are responsible for 43% of teenage pregnancies. Always wear protection.
