Hi all, my name is Nick and I'm new to this forum thing (the whole deal not just fast frogs).

I saw the link to this site on a trademe auction and was mightily encouraged to read of a site in NZ for BX 16V owners (amongst others). The only other one I've stumbled across is the BX16V homepage in the UK which has a fantastic collection of information and fixes for all those foibles that we know and love in our cars! Highly recommend the site although I'm sure everyone here is well aware of it.

I will post some pic's of the 16V when I get a chance to get out there with the camera, although it will be with mixed emotions as I'm currently trying to come to terms with the possibility of selling my baby of 11 years.

It is nice to see there is still some passion out there for BX's as it certainly feels like driving in the wilderness these days. I think I've only seen 2 other BX's on the road in the last year.

Anyway, enough rambling from me - that's the obligatory introduction.

Cheers, Nick.

Oops, missed that in the intro, I'm in Wellington.

Yeah photos to come. All original so nothing like your awesome red spaceship (the two tone phase 1).

You ever noticed that movies set in the 'near' future always have Citroens as the futuristic cars?

Hello and welcome

Good to see another BX16v, well only being 12,000 phase ones there seems to be a few collected in little old NZ. Cant wait to see pics.

Thanks for the welcome folks, as I said it's nice to be in discerning company.

Well hope this photo thing works, I've tried following the instructions through photobucket.

The following pics were snapped late this afternoon in fading light after a busy day with the kids so please excuse the quality - these are the non-blurry ones, and no fancy photoshop.

The last one of the RS Escort race car is from the album as it is now just a rolling shell taking up space in the garage.

The 309 SRi is no longer in our stable but still remembered with fondness. Sure it might have looked a bit like a nana's car but get behind the wheel and it would always impress with it's point and shoot handling and pickup - so light and nimble.

Will see if I can get some better photos of the BX together next weekend.

Cheers, Nick.

In answer to the earlier post regarding VASK, yes I have recently discovered that site although haven't been organised enough to register yet. Seems very similar in layout to this one.
