Hi Guys

My name is Kit and I am a new convert to the French revolution

Just picked up a 89' 205 GR and am stoked! First French car I have ever owned, used to be a bit of a Golf nut, then went to motorbikes, now trying out the Frogs.

I picked up this 205 from Pearce Brothers dealership for $1500 and it only has 62,000 miles on the clock. Interior is mint and the car seems to run very well so far. Am excited but the potential that I can get out of this thing as well as being a great daily.

Planning to get the gti bumpers on it when I find some

Gotta love the elegant simplicity of this wee gem - it makes me want to go live in Provence and grow grapes!

a base model 205 shell would be awesome to start a racecar project with, the gti's have little studs down the doors and rear 1/4 panel so it looks weird if you want  run some wide bubble arches without the plastic sidings.

looks good man!

Yeah drove it through Cornwall Park, made me feel like I was in Southern France rushing the tiny roads to get to the milkman or something haha. Surprisingly powerful for a 1.4L!

Well before I got this me and my mate were looking at the gtis to make a targa car from but there was no decent ones around for our budget. Good to know about the lack of studs, it may go that route after I upgrade haha. For now it will stay as a daily as it puts a smile on my face everytime I get in it!

Will make a detailed thread of the progress I make on it once I start

Nice to meet y'all!

Teehee... The 1.6 turbo in the 308/mini/rcz is based on the TU's.

The super1600 206's run a TU engine.
