Hi All,
I'm looking for a 205 gti. I'm new to French cars, but the 205's reputation stretches far and wide. I've admired them from a distance...now it's time to get one!
Cheers.

I'm hoping it's everything that they're supposed to be, can't wait to pick it up on Saturday.

Nice one hip205gti , I'm jelly. I was watching that one on TM too but it was out of my price range. Sure looks like it was kept well.

Griffe

Wow nice one!  Be sure to bring it along to the upcoming track day!
It's a workup

Yep...blow out 20 years of cobwebs!
Would make a change from shopping/lunch/kid's pick up/bingo/RSA...... :)

Yeah, does look nicely cared for...shall continue to do the same...with a few minor tweaks ;) Going up to Auckland on Saturday to drive it back down here to Napier...should be FUN!

Haha good stuff man. I was the other bidder - thought I might find the winner here!
Interestingly enough my browser said I still had 2 minutes left to make a bid, I put another bid in and it must have just missed out as it said the auction was closing. So there you go, you got it cheaper than you would've otherwise :D. Ya probably would have still beat me anyway. ;)

My loss is your gain! Hope you enjoy it. :D

Picked up the 205 gti yesterday from the North Shore...crawled all over it, took it for a test drive, negotiated a little more...not quite as mint as I was hoping...but still, a really good, pretty tight, low km one owner NZ new example...with not too much work will be a really nice example. Stopped at the BP around the corner from the seller's place, the fuel reserve light was on (considerate!), filled with Ultimate 98, headed home to Napier with a couple of hours of sunlight up my sleeve.
As the traffic thinned and the road started to wind, the smile on my face grew! Got to the twisties, and even though it was dark...BIG FUN!
The last stage from Taupo to Napier (pretty familiar with the road) was a hoot...loved every minute of it...I'm an instant convert...totally HOOKED!!!
Will post some pics when I've given it a REAL clean.

Sure do!!...my last car was a 1966 Porsche 912...part of the reason we all love these cars I think!
